Neoprene (chloroprene CR) developed as an oil-resistant substitute for natural rubber has excellent tensile strength and is impermeable to liquids and oils, protects against petroleum based solvents, strong alkalis and acids.

Performs well in temperatures from 0º to 300ºF and does not support combustion.
